At Castledown School we provide opportunities for all pupils to learn and to achieve their full potential in all aspects of school life. Through a broad and balanced curriculum we offer young people the opportunity to develop into successful adults who embrace life-long learning. At Castledown we understand that Secondary Education comes at a crucial phase in life-preparation. As a result of this we provide challenge and support for all learners, and believe whole-heartedly in praise, reward, encouragement and the celebration of success. At Key Stage 3 students study a broad range of subjects. At the heart of everything we do is a relentless focus on literacy, mathematical and IT skills. At Key Stage 4 students can study up to 12 GCSEs or opt to study a mix of GCSEs and vocational qualifications. The curriculum on offer at Key Stage 4 is divided into two parts: Core subjects and Option subjects
