2007 Results

Once again, Castledown Students have achieved excellent results at both Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4. SAT results at the end of Year 9 for 2006/2007 place us as a school in the top 7% of similar schools nationally with 83% of students achieving a level 5 in English, 68% in Maths and 77% in Science. These results also place us approximately in the top ten schools in Wiltshire. At level 6 the performance was also extremely pleasing and saw each core subject exceed their Local Authority target set in 2005.

At GCSE 51% of students achieved 5 or more GCSEs at A*-C level with many students gaining up to 10 GCSEs at the highest grades. The year group target was 43% and we were again one of the few schools in Wiltshire to exceed their externally set targets. The target for our current Year 11 is 64% A* - C. This is extremely ambitious and if achieved will place Castledown School well above the national average.
